And She Flew

Hi Blog,

Just felt like writing something about Her. She is the power and the force that drives everything around. Yes, she breaks down but she rises up as strongly as ever. She has the strength to hold her head high up as she takes the steps towards her dream. She never backs down and fights for what is rightfully hers. She is the support system and the pillar that is the base of all good. She is Her.

Darkness shields the naked eye
It looks hazy and dead
Breath caught in my chest
Mouth gasping for air

I try to cry and shout with hate
I try to calm down and pray
Hurt deep so inside of me
It anchored deep and there it lay

No movement sees my heart
Why it pains, so I ask
It crippled me to my bones and blood
The skin and flesh is a borderline mask

Waiting to be torn apart
Or so chimes a voice in my head
Creepy is the thought so much
I manage to hold down a sob

Sudden, unexpected and a little too late
Out of nowhere, it came to sight
Okay, I smiled a bit and hid it away
Anger, irritation, confusion or delight?

Eyelashes fluttered, eyes opened to a poker face
And the smile disappeared quickly
I toughened my mushy brain to straighten up
And clenched my jaw ever so tightly

No one takes me for a ride, no they don't
Sharpened senses working overtime
My heart shouted a war cry so loud
Sky's the limit, for love and happiness cost much more than just a dime.

If it is failure in love, life, work, relations, she will pick the pieces of her life and sew them back on with a stronger thread. Her happiness is before all but she doesn't see it that way. Because she has only known to give.

Let us celebrate Her. You will, Blog, won't you? :)

Cheers,
N.

Heart Break

Dear B,

Oh yes, I am back and how indeed!!! You're gonna dance with joy at the treasure I have found, my love!!

It's just so damn fun to playback through the different 'timezones' as I read one note after another..

Beautiful stanzas and phrases strung into something so pure!! Found a few lines written by another soul and I couldn't resist but add few of mine!!

Okay, no more talks.. Go on, read it below.. :D

I thought I finally received a break
Only to see the sun fall

My eyes will not see what they longed to see
My lips will not taste what they longed to taste

Why does life have to be like this?
Full of hatred and pain
Instead of joy and bliss

I don't really want to say goodbye
I don't really want to leave you
But now I have to go away
Stay away from you forever

What we had was something special
Deep down from our hearts
But now I have to go away
And leave you from my heart

That's that and the search is back onnnn!!!

Cheers,
N

Nothing

Dear B,

I found this while going through my old notes on Facebook.. So many memories and so much to read through.. It felt wonderful going back all these years and reliving those moments..

Here is one such old moment I am sharing with you..

The faint glow of the darkness,
The whirr of the fan.
I stay awake in my bed,
Typing fast as I can.

My heart thuds and I can hear its beats,
In the black, pin drop silence, an anonymous door creaks.

Too afraid to trace out the source,
I pull the covers over my head.
Waiting for an answer,
I quietly settle in my bed.

The cruel vibration snaps me out of my reverie,
I hastily glance all around and towards a happy new memory.

A curve spreads and my heart lightens,
A new hope surges within.
As I type again I can't help but think,
It is silly, it is nothing,
But all I can say is, it strengthens my feelings.

I will keep browsing and will definitely come back to you if I find something new.. Adiós till then..

Love,
N

Someone asked me to

Hi Bloggy,

I had to put this up.. This has been my most random and most sudden piece of work.. I just started on the blank canvas and painted the words as they flowed to me..

Hope its good.. Here goes..

He stared at the horizon,
she stayed awake in her bed,
He paused to look at the time,
she wondered what messed her head,
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes a bit,
She sat upright and played back the way he hit,
He cursed his rage and the hand that gave her pain,
She dried her tears and made up her face to look sane,
He turned back with no face to show and heart heavy as lead,
She switched the lights on and started to make the bed,
He turned the key in the slot and entered to the bright light,
She saw him and disappeared quickly leaving no sight,
He rushed to the bedroom only to find the bed unmade,
She took away his heart and his soul, she messed with his head,
It was an year ago, they had taken their vows,
Alcohol turned him to a monster, in and outside the house,
It ate at him and tore her completely away,
She was now just a memory and really hard at play!!

Have a good night!!

Love,
N

Another Monsoon Poem

Hi B,

The weather is so pleasant. I can't stop penning down a few lines here and there. Bear with me darling :)

Rain, Rain
What do they say?
You came again
In the morning today.

Rain, Rain
The birds aren't chirping
You made them fly
Far, far away.

Rain, Rain
You smell so good
You woke me up
From grumpy to pleasant mood.

Rain, Rain
How long will you last?
Would it be a repetition of your performance
Like in the days that passed?

Rain, Rain
What do they say?
You come and go so quick
Aren't we puppets in your grand play?

This poem is a little old compared to the time frame we're living in since this was when the second drizzle had come down upon us. And well, the rain was not just a drizzle this time but a little more than that and today as I sit typing these very words to you, the sky is falling down and its raining cats and dogs outside. Oh how I wish for a cup of coffee and my favorite novel.

Adios Amigo. Love forever.
N :)

Water from the Sky

Dear B,

The monsoons are here and I happened to be travelling when the first showers hit the city. So here is something I happened to type on my mobile as my father drove the car to our destination.

A surprise light strikes through the evening sky
A roar bellowing runs close by
A passerby looks up towards heaven
Hoping for a downpour or a drizzle even
Was I awaiting the monsoon season?
Or was I wanting to get away from the bizarre heat oven?
As I looked out the car window at a dog on the street
Drops from the sky fell heavily at its feet
Shivering from the cold, the water and the wind
It looked for shelter, found none but its skin
I propelled forwards thanking the rain gods
When suddenly the rainfall came down with a mighty force
Clattering on the building roofs and heads of men
It sang in my ears again and again
Wonderful I felt and surprised even
For this is the first time rain spoke to a mere human

Hope you enjoy the monsoons too :)

Health, Nutrition and Us

Hey Blog,

It's been long, eh? I was unwell, busy with work and family so was a little ignorant towards you. But now here I am and how. I am going to be writing about something I learnt during this time away from you.

I would like to start off by with the saying 'Health is Wealth' is cliche because of the truth to it. If our body and mind doesn't support, our daily activities might suffer. So how to keep ourselves healthy? I have come across 3 mantras, which are in our control, that affect our health everyday: Diet, Sleep and Water Intake.

Factors like environment, lifestyle, etc. are uncontrollable and hence we can't do much about them. What we can do is ensure we intake the correct nutrition requirement, sleep for the required amount of time and drink plenty of water.

We've all come across articles and doctors telling us to drink at least 2-3 litres of water everyday, which is true because water is the main component that helps throw out toxic waste from our body. And when the waste is flushed out, the body is going to feel better. Stomach related problems, skin problems, hair problems, are all related to how much water you intake.

Secondly, sleep is the most important factor contributing to your overall well-being. Ideal sleep should be of minimum 8 hours but anywhere between 6 hours to 10 hours is deemed suitable depending on your body requirement. This period is required by your body to rest up and prepare itself for the next day. Your body is constantly working like a machine when you are awake and it needs to relax from time to time.

Lastly, another important facet towards a healthy life is your diet. Balanced, nutritional and a complete diet is something which should be eaten on a daily basis. Our body is made up of various organs that require different kinds of fuel to work smoothly. Proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, etc are some of the necessary dietary components that, when taken in the right proportion act towards the successful repairing of your body. The actual nutritional requirements of our body are very beautifully explained in a simple 'Balanced Diet Pyramid' by the Harvard University. Noted down is a brief summary of the same (daily basis): (1 serving = 16-20 grams)

1. Vegetables and Fruits - 4-5 servings each
2. Whole Grains - 4-8 servings
3. Plant Oils - 3-4 serving
4. Legumes - 1-2 servings
5. Nuts & Seeds - 1-2 servings
6. Water - 8 glasses minimum
7. Eggs, Fish, Poultry and Plant Proteins - 1-2 servings
8. Dairy, Soy Milk/Calcium Supplement - 1-2 servings
9. Multi-Vitamins
10. Limited intake of red meat, butter, white rice, white bread, soda or any other high glycemic foods (high in carbohydrates/sugar)
11. Plenty of exercise

While on paper, all this sounds easy but when you actually try to incorporate the entire balanced diet pyramid in your daily diet intake, it is a little impractical, thanks to our lifestyle.
Here we can take help from organic health and nutrition supplements. These food supplements are made with an aim to satisfy our body's daily nutritional needs.

Go in for a complete health check up to know your body's basic requirements, approach a nutritionist and ask him or her about how you can make your diet nutritionally rich. But always remember, protein, omega 3 fats and vitamins-minerals; daily intake with help you enrich your and your family's health to new levels!

Cheers and Ta-Ta :)

Unfinished Ending

Hi Bloggy,

Long time no see.

Just some words I penned tonight. Hope they don't confuse you as they might many others. Have fun.

Was it the clock ticking or my heart beating?
Was it the powerful connection or the weird setting?
Was it my gut feeling or my mind screaming?
Was the wait worth its time or just some hours passing?
Was it the controlled breathing or the abrupt gasping?
Was it about me waiting or the phone buzzing?
Was it the silence outside my window or water falling?
Was it the crows or a tiny puppy yelping?
Was it the games my mind played or my heart wondering?
Was it the first message or the unfinished ending?
Was it the curiosity or impatience dying?
Was it the right method to the approach the unknowing?
Was it haste or spontaneous acting?
Was it destiny or the ultimate calling?
Was it meant to be or not, I hear myself talking.
Was it what I did or what I was meant to do,
The harsh reality is that I am here but not with you.

Yours always,
N.
